KW T300 GETS HYDRAULIC BRAKE OPTION
BALTIMORE, Md. — Kenworth has expanded its medium-duty offerings by introducing a hydraulic brake option for its T300 Class 6 model.
Kenworth now offers Bosch hydraulic disc brakes as an option for the T300 Class 6 model, which carries a gross-vehicle-weight rating of 26,000 lbs.
The braking system comes with the Bosch HydroMax brake booster, WABCO ABS modulator valve, and Bosch zero offset pin slide calipers.
The brake option is available on the T300 Class 6 model with a Caterpillar 3126E engine with horsepower range of 190 to 250 hp, and Eaton Fuller 6-speed transmission. It also includes a cable-actuated driveline parking brake. In addition, the vehicle comes with a Dana Spicer I-80S front axle rated at 8,000 lbs. and a Dana Spicer 19060S rear axle rated at 18,000 lbs.
Production of the T300’s with the hydraulic brakes is scheduled to begin in late April.
