Lumber trucker cheats death

TIMMINS, Ont. — Following a rollover accident on Hwy. 101 between Timmins and Foleyet, a witness says the trucker involved was lucky to walk away.

A witness who saw the accident said the truck drove off the highway and hit some sand, which caused it to flip over. At which point, lumber went flying — flooding the area under a sea of wood.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) released few other details, other than the fact the lone male driver was taken to hospital after pulling himself from the wreckage.

“Were still investigating,” Const. Jason Oxby tells local media. Oxby confirms the driver appeared to be okay after the incident. “There don’t seem to be serious injuries. The driver was conscious and responsive to questions.”
