Canadian Trucking companies currently using Maddocks Systems’ TruckMate for Windows (TM4Win) now have three levels of functionality to choose from after the company partnered with Cancom Tracking Solutions.

Both companies say the option, which takes critical information from both systems and combines it into one solution, is designed to fit customers’ individual requirements by providing information sent by a driver to the operations centre and vice versa. The amount of data that can be received is based on Cancom’s patented Circle of Service feature, which incorporates three phases that automatically update load information and incorporates it with other critical data into the dispatch process.

Phase One includes basic functionality that notifies dispatch when a vehicle arrives and departs a location as well as load assignment information. Phase Two includes additional information about routing, directions and trailer information. The more sophisticated users who implement Phase Three achieve a level of integration that results in a fully
automated dispatch environment.
