ST. JOHN’S, Nfld. — The district of Bellevue will receive more than $1 million in major road upgrades, according to Works, Services and Transportation Minister Percy Barrett.

“When the provincial budget was announced in March, government reiterated its commitment to improving transportation in the province and now I’m following through on this commitment,” said Barrett. “I’m very pleased to be able to announce these projects for my district which will allow significant upgrades to be made this year.”

Highlights of the roadwork include upgrading a section of English Harbour East Road, resurfacing a portion of North Harbour Road and Garden Cove Road, and repairing the Mount Arlington seawall.

Tenders for the projects will be announced over the next couple of months.
