WINNIPEG, Man. — It will be a busy construction season on Manitoba highways this summer, with the continued twinning of Hwy. 59 south of Winnipeg receiving priority.

About $4.6 million will be spent to complete the twinning of Hwy. 59, from south of Mondor Road to the north junction of Provincial Road 300.

Some of the other projects slated for completion this year, are the upgrading of Seine River Diversion structures on Hwy. 12; resurfacing of 20.8 kilometres of the Trans-Canada highway between East Braintree and Falcon lake; the widening and resurfacing of the 5.7-km long Otterburne Access; and safety upgrades at numerous railway crossings.
