Michelin offers free recycled mudflaps

LAVAL, Que. — Michelin Truck Tire Division is offering free truck mudguards manufactured in Canada using 100 per cent recycled tires.

The move was made in recognition of the National Canadian Environment Week — June 3rd to 9 — which also happens to coincide with National Transportation Week.

The mudguards were developed in limited quantities and in an effort to promote the use of recycled tires in the industry and reduce waste. They will be available, while quantities last, from dealers across Canada. Mudguards are available with the Bibendum logo and also with the BFGoodrich Commercial Truck Tires Cool Rigs logo.

“Michelin truck tires are retreaded once, twice and sometimes three times before they are discarded,” says Dougie Macdonald, segment manager Michelin Canada. “Now tires can have even another life.”
