More than 45 trucks to participate in Touch-a-Truck event this Friday

OSHAWA, Ont. — Spectra Venue Management, the operators of the General Motors Centre, announced earlier this week that there are more than 45 vehicles participating in the third annual Touch-a-Truck event.

The event is taking place Friday, August 21, 2015, is free to attend and allows children of all ages to get up close and personal with all the vehicles on display and learn about the vehicles from the drivers.

The Touch-a-Truck event is also in support of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oshawa-Whitby.

“Last year, this free community event attracted over 3,500 people to the General Motors Centre to get up close and personal with more than 40 different types of military, emergency and heavy equipment vehicles while helping raise $1,250 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oshawa-Whitby. Our goals are to expand on this event and make it an even bigger success with the support of our vehicle and community partners,” said Spectra Venue Management’s William Balfour, marketing and group sales manager of the General Motors Centre. “This event would not be possible without the support of our community partners and we look forward to this year’s Touch-a-Truck being bigger and better with more vehicles to explore!”
