Mullen names Co-CEO

ALDERSYDE, Alta, (May 5, 2004) — Mullen Transportation has appointed Calgary lawyer Stephen Lockwood as president and co-CEO of the company. The appointment was announced by Murray Mullen, the freight carrier’s current chairman, president and CEO. Murray Mullen will continue to serve as chairman and co-CEO.

Lockwood is a senior partner and founder of Carscallen Lockwood LLP. He has acted as corporate counsel to Mullen for the last 15 years, which has provided him with a detailed
understanding of the Mullen organization, its people, and its values, the company said in a press release.

Mullen is one of Canada’s largest for-hire freight carriers, specializing in the oil and natural gas industry sector.

“Our organization has reached a pivotal time in its growth,” Mullen said in a released statement. “It is important that we address the structure of the executive team to accommodate our current size and the growth opportunities ahead.”
