FREDERICTON, N.B. — New Brunswick Transportation Minister Percy Mockler is advising that the spring weight restrictions are scheduled to be removed by the end of May.

The schedule is as follows: in southern New Brunswick (Zone A), restrictions are now set at 80 per cent and will be relaxed to 90 per cent and those set at 90 will be removed completely at midnight on May 12. Remaining restrictions will be completely removed in southern New Brunswick on May 19.

In northern New Brunswick (Zone B), restrictions now set at 80 per cent will be relaxed to 90 per cent and those set at 90 will be relaxed to 100 at 12 a.m. on May 19. The restrictions will be completely removed in northern New Brunswick on May 26.

Depending on weather conditions and the strength of individual highways, some restrictions may remain on individual highways past these dates Mockler cautions.
