QUEEN’S PARK, Ont. — The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is replacing computer equipment at all Issuing Offices and Examination Centres across the province between now and next January.
The process, part of the government’s Legacy System Renewal, is designed to upgrade, modernize and improve the quality of public service in road user safety.
Most of the licence issuing offices will close for one day on a rotating basis to allow for installation. Driver Examination Centres will stay open, but service could be slower than usual since transactions will be processed manually. Driving test appointments will not be affected.
For more information on the closings and openings, customers may call the ministry’s Licensing Administration Office at 800-387-3445.
