BROWNSBURG, Ind. — GPS Management Systems announced the release of the MB3000-HEU (heavy equipment unit) tracking system.

This global positioning device utilizes a combination of GPS, cellular and internet-based technologies to provide reliability in locating equipment.

The new system aids in theft prevention and subsequent recovery, as well as the monitoring of equipment hours of operation.

The MB3000-HEU is enclosed in a vibration and weather resistant case and is designed to survive a life in challenging construction environments. Specific equipment location information and other data is transmitted via Aeris Microburst network. Map driven solutions and performance data are available in real time from a GPS Management Systems Web site.

In addition, the unit includes a starter — disabling device, which can be activated after machine engine is “off”, and notification of equipment leaving assigned job sites with warnings sent to company beepers, email and/or fax machine.
