ALBANY, N.Y. — As part of a commitment by the New York State Transportation Department to upgrade rest areas along I-87, it has pumped US$4.8 million into a new Valcour-area rest stop.

Some of the features that will greet truckers and motorists include a New York State Police station, restrooms, vending machines and parking space for 28 trucks.

The rest area is located off the northbound lanes of I-87 between Exits 35 and 36.
