NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Meritor WABCO has introduced a new tractor anti-lock braking system (ABS) that incorporates power line carrier (PLC) communications technology.

The E-Version ABS also meets new Federal regulations that require an in-cab trailer indicator lamp.

“The architecture of this new system was developed with future technologies in mind,” says Dennis L. Sandberg, president of Meritor WABCO Vehicle Control Systems. “As both tractor and trailer application requirements grow, the new tractor ABS along with our enhanced Easy-Stop trailer ABS stand ready to be adapted by customers to meet their needs.”

Other benefits of the E-Version ABS include an automatic traction control option, roll stability control options, easy to use diagnostic tools and a complete line of support material.
