MONCTON, N.B. — A multi-million dollar refrigerated cargo facility at the Greater Moncton Airport will renew it’s Maritime reputation as the hub for cargo air service while increasing truck traffic.

Airport authority chairman, Pierre Michaud says a lease has been signed and plans are being finalized with a private developer who will begin construction soon on the state-of-the-art expanded cargo warehouse. It will accommodate large cargo aircraft transporting everything from seafood to fruit both to and from the Maritimes.

Once snow clears, the warehouse will be built next to the terminal building now being constructed to the west of the airport property near Veteran’s Highway.
