REGINA, Sask. — Saskatchewan Highways and Transportation department has unveiled a flashier new Web site that will make it easier for drivers to stay on top of road conditions and department news.

The Web site, located at www.highways.gov.sk.ca, includes a winter conditions map that reports the latest highway conditions, closures and advisories.

New Highways and Transportation Minister, Mark Wartman, promises drivers can count on the Web site to contain the most up to date information.

“The newly-streamlined Web site will bring road condition updates to the public in a more timely fashion, and users will be able to navigate the site with fewer clicks,” says Wartman.

Upcoming construction projects will also be outlined on the Web site, so drivers can plan ahead and avoid major delays.
