Mississauga, Ont. – Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a trailer load of Hitachi televisions.

According to police, the trailer containing 120 TVs was stolen from a trucking compound at 5425 Dixie Road in Mississauga on Wednesday, March 6 at around 6:40 a.m. The televisions are valued at roughly $226,600.

A 1999 Stoughton trailer, containing the Hitachi units, was removed
from the compound by a stolen tractor, police say.

Both the tractor and the empty trailer were located later that day at an unnamed truck stop in Grimsby.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Peel Regional Police Commercial Auto Crime Bureau at 905-453-2121 ext. 7302 or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS/8477.
