Ontario police search for stolen TVs

Mississauga, Ont. – Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a trailer load of Hitachi televisions.

According to police, the trailer containing 120 TVs was stolen from a trucking compound at 5425 Dixie Road in Mississauga on Wednesday, March 6 at around 6:40 a.m. The televisions are valued at roughly $226,600.

A 1999 Stoughton trailer, containing the Hitachi units, was removed
from the compound by a stolen tractor, police say.

Both the tractor and the empty trailer were located later that day at an unnamed truck stop in Grimsby.
