Ontario Safety League restructures training programs, adds staff

TORONTO (Dec. 9, 2002) — The Ontario Safety League has hired two new representatives, John Le Feuvre and Ron McIntryre, in the restructuring of its commercial transportation safety training programs.

LeFeuvre is a master instructor who has been instrumental in developing safety training courses in safety for companies, colleges, and the Ministry of Transportation. He has been involved with the OSL for over a decade on various initiatives and will use his 32 years of teaching experience and transportation experience to develop and expand the group’s programming, the OSL said.

McIntyre has almost a decade of experience as a driver and as a driver instructor in the transportation industry. He will be servicing commercial clients as well as developing and delivering customized courses.

“We are immensely pleased that these men are joining our organization. The League and our clients will greatly benefit from their years of transportation industry experience,” said OSL president and general manager Bert Killian.

The OSL’s training programs teach companies how to safety operate their fleets and to maintain proper records.

“When drivers are involved in collisions it costs companies money they can ill afford in today’s economy. By maintaining a clean CVOR, with safe and courteous drivers, companies prosper by saving money,” says Killian. “This new restructuring will allow us to meet the training needs of our clientele.”
