OTA helps trucker search jobs online

TORONTO, (Oct. 10, 2003) — The Ontario Trucking Association has created a new website to help job seekers looking for employment opportunities in Canada’s trucking industry.

The site, www.jobsintrucking.ca, is devoted to bringing industry employers and employees together. The new site is the result of a partnership between the OTA and the popular, high-traffic recruitment site known as Canjobs.com.

The site includes a job bank and resume database for the trucking industry, and contains postings for job opportunities across Canada in 30 job categories which span management, truck driving, owner operators and administrative positions. Job seekers can easily locate and respond to job postings and even polish their job seeking skills with online job preparation tools including a free resume review service.

Employers can post job openings at a minimal cost that will be viewed by thousands of qualified applicants; search the resume database to find the perfect employee for the position; and arrange job interviews online.

OTA member companies receive a discounted price for posting job openings and using the site.
