TORONTO, Ont. — Smart Driver training workshop, designed to teach the knowledge and skills to becoming a fuel efficient driver, will be presented by the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA).

These workshops, designed by FleetSmart (an information program of the Office of Energy Efficiency of Natural Resources Canada), are aimed at assisting fleets in reducing operating costs.

As well as training drivers directly, the OTA sponsored events will also provide a learning opportunity for instructors during the “train-the-instructor” training sessions.

Sessions will run on Mar. 4, Apr. 8 and 17. The workshops are free for the fleet group’s member companies and cost $20 for non-members.

To request a registration form, contact Shelly Hill at the OTA at 416-249-7401.
