PeopleNet Canada names new pres and VP

BURLINGTON, Ont. (Jan. 10, 2003) — PeopleNet Communications Canada has promoted Jamie Williams president. In his new role, Williams has overall responsibility for all operations of PeopleNet throughout Canada.

Additionally, Rob Pallante, formerly regional account manager, has been promoted to vice-president of the company. Pallante’s new role will focus on providing strategic direction and managing PeopleNet operations throughout the country, the company says.

Williams joined PeopleNet in early 2001 as director of sales, and was quickly promoted to vice-president of Canadian sales. Pallante, formerly a sales manager with New Communications Group, the publisher of Today’s Trucking magazine, joined PeopleNet in 2001 as regional sales manager for Eastern Canada.

PeopleNet says the new positions will allow the company to continue its fast-growing momentum in Canada. In 2002, PeopleNet experienced 70 per cent growth in sales throughout the U.S. and Canada built on its popular PeopleNet g2x system, the company says.
