PeopleNet marks decade in business with 1,000th customer

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (May 17, 2004) — Mobile fleet communications provider PeopleNet rang in its 10th anniversary by signing a milestone deal with Bridgestone/Firestone.

Bridgestone/Firestone becomes PeopleNet’s 1,000th customer since the company was founded inn 1994. According to PeopleNet, the deal marks the 18th consecutive quarter of expansion for the company. During 2003, PeopleNet’s revenues soared 50 per cent over those of the previous year.

COO Ron Konezny said in a press release that PeopleNet’s proactive approach to customer support is based on an infrastructure developed to deliver on this promise. For example, the company has formed a P3 Process (Product Planning and Prioritization) effort, and a Product Advisory Council to address the challenges of prioritizing and communicating new features to customers.
