FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Peterbilt truck owners can now get top vehicle performance and value throughout the ownership of their truck with new training and workshops.

The programs are made possible through Peterbilt Motors Company, in conjunction with its network of dealerships.

Recently a quarterly Truck Maintenance Clinic was held by Palm Peterbilt in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Palm Peterbilt. has hosted four Truck Maintenance Clinics since it began its program last year. Each clinic is typically attended by up to 60 service technicians, maintenance supervisors and equipment managers from companies with Peterbilt trucks in their fleets. Two of the clinics, focused on preventive maintenance practices and air conditioning maintenance and repair, included the opportunity for attendees to obtain certification from the International Mobile Air Conditioning Association.

The other two clinics were conducted by component and accessory suppliers who addressed cooling system maintenance, lower operating costs through engine management, suspension component life, and sealant and gasket technology. A clinic on D.O.T.-related issues, is also planned for the fall.

“We have tried to select subjects that would be of every-day value to our customers,” explained David Weiger, President of Palm Peterbilt. “Based on the number of repeat attendees, we believe we are succeeding.”
