DENTON, Texas – Peterbilt announced today that it has received three Manufacturing Leadership Awards from Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership Council.

The awards recognize the company’s excellence in the areas of employee leadership development, manufacturing innovation and operational efficiency.

“Peterbilt continues to set new standards of quality, efficiency and productivity. Our commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing investment in our people, processes and technologies allow us to achieve ever increasing levels of innovation,” said Darrin Siver, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice-president. “We are proud to have our achievements recognized by Frost and Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership Council.”

The company also won two Manufacturing Leaderships Awards in the Operational Excellence Leadership category for its Cab Trim Line project and for its North Texas Lean Consortium initiative. In addition, Peterbilt was awarded for its Emerging Leaders program.

“We achieved significant efficiency gains through integrating cab trimming for all Peterbilt models on a single production line,” said Leon Handt, Peterbilt’s assistant general manager of operations.
