Pink Truck Raises Money For Cancer Research By the Klick

SALMO, B.C. – Sutco’s new pink truck earns a few cents per each kilometer driven for the Canadian Cancer Society and is expected to raise about $70,000 over the next three years.

Over the next three years, Sutco’s bright pink 2015 Kenworth T680, called Pink Power, will travel the highways in Southern B.C. and northern Washington, Idaho and Montana.

President of the B.C.-based trucking company, Chris Sutherland, said Sutco has been helping to fight cancer through numerous events for the past few years.

“Through these events we’ve had a tremendous amount of success fostering awareness, raising funds for research, and supporting those with this terrible disease and their families,” Sutherland said.

But the Pink Power campaign will go year-round, generating funds for the Canadian Cancer Society with each kilometer travelled. Atco Wood Products, Inland Kenworth/Parker Pacific, Interfor, Kaltire, Kenworth, Magnum, Tolko, Tycrop, and Zellstoff Celgar are each contributing one cent for every kilometre travelled by Pink Power.
