OAKVILLE, Ont. — The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) has put out a call for entries for its awards programs.

The awards will be presented during the council’s annual convention at Kingbridge Conference Centre and Institute in King City, Ont. on June 18.

Awards include the always-popular PMTC/3M Vehicle Graphic Design Awards, which is open to both private and for-hire trucking companies. The award recognizes fleets who graphically enhance their vehicles. Awards are presented in seven categories: Tractor Trailer Combination; Straight Truck; Special Events/Promotion; Night-Time Safety, Light Duty Commercial Truck, Human Interest, and Fleet Identity Graphics.

The PMTC is also looking for candidates to name to the PMTC/Huron Services Group Hall of Fame for Professional Drivers. Qualifying drivers must be employed by PMTC members. In addition to being awarded at the convention, winners will also be acknowledged in the online Hall of Fame.

And finally, the council is looking for nominees for its PMTC/Zurich Private Fleet Safety Awards. The program recognizes fleets that demonstrate best practices in private fleet safety management. The award is open to all Canadian private fleets.
