PrimeTime eyes busy time

VANCOUVER, Wa. — Despite the grim predictions from analysts about the state of the North American economy, at least one fleet is seeing the glass as half-full.

Consolidated Freightways (CF) says that its ground service, PrimeTime freight is seeing an increase in freight volumes over recent weeks.

CF predicts retailers will be moving to replenish supplies such as electronics following Christmas, so the company is preparing to remain busy over the foreseeable future.

PrimeTime guarantees two to four day delivery, and most of the volume it is currently working with is in the 500- to 1,500-mile range.
