Pro-Link marketer NEXIQ files for Chapter 11 bankuptcy protection

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (Nov. 1, 2002) — NEXIQ Technologies, the company that markets the Pro-Link handheld diagnostic tool ffor cars and trucks, has filed for protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The company said it plans to liquidate.

NEXIQ provides advanced diagnostics and telematics products, solutions, and services for the automotive and commercial vehicle markets.

Last year, the company introduced eTechnician, a promising technology that allows fleets to diagnose and repair vehicle faults remotely, while the vehicle is on the road. Earlier this year, the company crossed into the logistics arena with ePod, a pickup and delivery software system designed for private fleet operations.
