MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Quik X Group of Companies has announced the launch of a new intermodal service to Western Canada under the brand name, QuiktraX Intermodal.

“This service introduction is a logical extension of our portfolio,” says Gary Babcock, president and chief executive officer of the Quik X Group of Companies. “With the launch of QuiktraX, we now offer our customers additional value by providing a conventional service that complements our well respected Quik X expedited service”.

QuiktraX will use the Quik X P & D fleet in both Eastern and Western Canada, with CN Rail providing the cross-country rail service.

“We have had considerable success in building the business of our Roadfast division over the past year by using CN’s intermodal service to and from Western Canada. We believe we can take this service to another level by establishing QuiktraX as a scheduled LTL and truckload service provider. We view this as an excellent growth opportunity for our company,” Babcock adds.
