Raydan, ArvinMeritor sign Air Linklicensing agreement

EDMONTON, (Aug. 27, 2004) — Raydan Manufacturing and ArvinMeritor have signed a licensing agreement for selected models of the Air Link rear tandem suspension product line.

ArvinMeritor is now authorized to market, engineer and manufacture the Air Link rear suspension product line up to and including 52,000 lb. gross tandem weights for commercial truck, trailer, specialty and military OEMs, the companies announced in a press release. Effective immediately, all engineering, marketing, product planning and sales activities for Air Link applications specified within the agreement will be managed from ArvinMeritor’s headquarters in Troy, Mich.

Raydan will continue to engineer, manufacture and market the rear Air Link for crane chassis, custom retrofit, and all applications above 52,000 lb. from its Edmonton, Alta. headquarters. Gross tandem weight, and retain all rights to the Air Link for tandem front end applications.

The Air Link suspension is the industry’s only air ride walking beam suspension, and has been tested successfully by Canada’s National Research Council, the US military, and private corporations, Raydan says, adding it’s been approved by both the US and Canadian military, and is standard original equipment on many truck crane and fire apparatus vehicles.
