Raydan wins national defense contract

EDMONTON, — Raydan Manufacturing — a designer of specialized suspensions and coupling systems for trucks, trailers and heavy equipment — and APM Diesel Inc. have been awarded a base contract with a value of $12.4 million from the Canadian Department of National Defense to extend the life of their fleet of Heavy Logistics Vehicles Wheeled (HLVW).
“We welcome this opportunity to continue working with the Canadian military,” said Ray English, Raydan’s president and CEO. “We’ve completed many special projects for the Department of National Defense, and have been certified to work on military vehicles since 2001.”

The contract runs through March 2008.

Raydan’s flagship product, the Air Link air ride walking beam suspension has been sold into all segments of the US military as well. In the 2005 fiscal year, Raydan supplied 258 Air Link rear suspensions for the US Air Force refueler program.

APM Diesel’s defined and targeted technological expertise is found in its wide range of services and products for military and commercial applications. They are the Canadian representative for Steyr and IVECO, and are located in eastern Canada.
