Reinhardt named general manager of Western Star
PORTLAND, Ore. (Feb. 28, 2001) — Freightliner LLC has appointed Carsten Reinhardt vice-president and general manager of operations of Western Star Trucks.
Previously director of corporate manufacturing engineering for Freightliner, he replaces Roger Nielsen who was recently promoted in the Freightliner organization to president of the Freightliner Specialized Vehicles Group.
In his new role, Reinhardt will continue to integrate Western Star Truck operations into the Freightliner organization and will oversee company operations in Kelowna.
Reinhardt joined the company in 1993 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility in the company’s manufacturing group.
Reinhardt has a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in automotive engineering.
