CENTRAL BUTTE, Sask. — A major granular pavement resurfacing project will benefit Hwy.s 19 and 42 this summer.

The resurfacing of Hwy. 19 will begin 20 km north of Chaplin and will extend 23 km toward Central Butte. Hwy. 42 will be revamped from Central Butte, to 7 km west of the municipality.

“This is a lengthy stretch to be surfaced on these two highways so we are getting an early start in order to complete the project this season,” said Highways and Transportation Minister, Pat Atkinson. “Drivers in the Central Butte area will notice a significant difference in their local highways once these two projects are completed.”

The project will get underway at the end of April, and is slated for completion by late September.
