CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Islanders and visiting drivers again have another tool to help them safely get through another winter on the roads.

The Department of Transportation and Public Works, in partnership with the Department of Development and Technology, have re-launched the Current Road Conditions page on the P.E.I. government Web site.

The page lists current road conditions on different sections of roads throughout the province and has a color-coded interactive map where users can check the road conditions for a particular area.

Telephone numbers are also listed on the site to allow drivers to call for updates, as well as links to current road conditions in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Drivers can access the current road conditions page at www.gov.pe.ca or at www.charlottetown.cbc.ca.
