KAMLOOPS, B.C. — City workers are giving Ord Road a facelift, straightening it out to improve safety for drivers.

The road is receiving attention between McLean St. and Tranquille Road, and is expected to wrap up around Oct. 19.

"We’re straightening the road horizontally and vertically," Loris Pellizzon, field services supervisor for the city of Kamloops tells local media. "We’re eliminating a lot of the little humps which were in the road and straightening out some of the turns to make them better for drivers."
