Road to Killarney a total washout (September 25, 2001)
KILLARNEY, Ont. — The lone road accessing this Georgian Bay community has been cut by a veritable wall of water that rolled through here yesterday.
Ontario Provincial Police officers say they closed Hwy. 6-37 after torrential downpours washed out a section of the road.
It was not known when the roadway would be open again, but one OPP official suggests it will likely be closed “for a very long time.”
