Sandberg to lead Meritor WABCO

TROY, Mich. (May 15, 2000) — Dennis L. Sandberg has been named president and general manager of Meritor WABCO Vehicle Control Systems. He succeeds Leonard Buckman who retired earlier this year.

Sandberg held a number of management positions with Rockwell Automotive (now Meritor Automotive) when the joint venture with American Standard’s WABCO Automotive Products Group was launched in 1990. He was most recently director, Electronic Products for Meritor WABCO and is credited with introduction of the company’s electronic braking systems and stability control products to the North American commercial vehicle market.
