JEMSEG, N.B. — According to the Maritime Road Development Corporation, a section of the four-lane highway from Fredericton to Moncton will open today at 10 a.m.
The seven-kilometre (4.3 mile) section includes the new Jemseg River Bridge and the connecting segment of four-lane highway through the Grand Lake Meadows.
Ramps at the westerly end of this section will bring traffic on and off the existing two-lane highway just before the new Saint John River Bridge, which is not expected to open to traffic until later this fall.
