J.J. Keller & Associates has just introduced Transport Security for Hazmat and General Carriers, a new manual that helps companies establish a security program to safeguard employees, facilities, equipment, and cargo.

Based on the FMCSA’s recommendations and industry best practices, the manual explains types of security threats; discusses personnel security issues; provides employee security and safety training; and examines in-transit security issues like loading and unloading, stopping and parking, and security for the trailer.

The manual also offers information on hazardous materials control, including tips on how to develop a policy, create a security recovery plan, and protect and manage hazmat records. A special section covers establishing security policies as well as using transportation security technology. The manual is available for $165.
