Semplonius named manager of Sterling Trucks’s St. Thomas, Ont., factory

Semplonius Named Manager Of Sterling Truck Plant (8/25/99)
WILLOUGHBY, Ohio (Aug. 27, 1999) — John Semplonius has been named plant manager of the Sterling Truck manufacturing plant in St. Thomas, Ont., effective Sept. 7, 1999. He succeeds Terry Bruni, who was named branch manager of a new Sterling Trucks dealership in London, Ont., in June.

Semplonius brings extensive manufacturing engineering and production experience to Sterling and its parent company, Freightliner Corp. of Portland, Ore. He has 20 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry with other manufacturers, including specialized expertise in paint processes. In his most recent position, Semplonius served as the director of production engineering for an Ontario-based automotive manufacturing company.

Semplonius has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ont.
