Shareholders, courts approve Trimac privatization

CALGARY (Nov. 21, 2000) — Trimac Corp. has received the necessary legal and shareholder approvals to go private, the company said.

The move was officially approved today at a special meeting of Trimac shareholders. The company, one of North America’s largest bulk trucking and logistics firms, said over 99% of the votes cast were in favour of privatization.

Shareholders, other than those participating in the privatization, will be entitled to receive $9.50 cash for each of their Trimac shares.
