SLH Transport places order for 100 Freightliner power units

KINGSTON, Ont. – SLH Transport announced today that it has chosen Freightliner Canada as its primary Class 8 truck supplier.

The company recently placed an order for 100 power units from Freightliner.

“This is a truly significant investment in our SLH history and further builds upon our strong partnership with Freightliner, “ said Brent Fowler, SLH’s vice-president.  “As we celebrated our company’s 30th anniversary in October 2015 as a for-hire carrier in Canada the timing of this announcement further exemplifies our commitment and vision to be one of Canada’s top transportation and logistics companies.  We thank Freightliner for their commitment, innovation and partnership throughout our company’s journey to be a leader in servicing the North American supply chain.”

Ray Carey, central region manager for Freightliner Canada also commented saying: “We truly appreciate the trust and confidence that SLH has in our product , dealer organization, training programs and our many support staff We look forward to a continued partnership over the years to come.”

    Hi- what about “CANADIAN” built trucks “Kenworth” instead of “Mexican” built units? LOYALTY??

    Why does it make a difference if the truck is made in Mexico or Canada. Mexico is part of the North American free trade agreement. John please don’t show you’re ignorance.
