TOLEDO, Ohio — Spicer Driveshaft and Spicer Heavy Axle and Brake have been selected by International to supply several standard items on the new International 4000 Series medium-duty truck.

International’s 4000 Series line will incorporate Spicer Life 70, 100, and 140 series drive shaft assemblies. The vehicles will also include Spicer steering shafts, I-series steer axles, 15,000-to-26,000-lb. single drive axles, and 40,000-pound tandem drive axles into this new series of medium-duty vehicles.

“Spicer’s medium-duty driveshafts benefit from proven technology developed in the light vehicular market,” says Joe Sober, vice-president and general manager for Spicer Driveshaft. “Innovations such as Spicer Life XS permanently lubricated, maintenance-free universal joints and sealed slip members feature state of the art technology that reduce maintenance requirements and translate into a higher caliber vehicle for resale.”
