SPRING WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS CHANGE IN QUEBEC

QUEBEC CITY, Que. — The Quebec Ministry of Transport has postponed the end of the spring weight restrictions in some areas and has moved forward the end in others.

In zone one, the restrictions will be in effect until May 16, instead of ending May 5.

In zones two and three, the restrictions will end earlier: in zone two, by May 16 instead of May 19, and in zone three, by May 21 rather than May 26.

The ministry notes the changes are due to weather conditions; zones two and three have seen milder than normal temperatures, while the southern zone three has seen colder than seasonal temperatures.

Zone three includes Hull, Montreal, Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivieres and Quebec City.
