EDMONTON, Alta. — Tanker truckers frequenting the U.S. can get up to speed on that country’s regulations by attending a two-day Cargo Tank Test and Inspection Workshop in Edmonton Aug. 21-22.

The U.S. National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) and the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) will be on hand to educate Canadian drivers about U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for testing, inspection and repair of cargo tanks.

FMCSA inspectors will be at the head of the class, providing insight into the complex industry.

Students who enroll in the program will receive a DOT workbook and NTTC cargo tank regulations book.
