Teamsters-Purolator deal ratified

The Teamsters union representing Purolator Courier Ltd.’s Canadian couriers, drivers, markers and sorters has accepted the company’s latest contract offer.

Purolator president and CEO Fred Manske said the contract, which will be in place until Dec. 31, 2003, means the company’s operations across Canada will continue without disruption.

“This is good news, and I believe that with this agreement in place, Purolator is stronger today than ever before,” Manske wrote in a letter to his employees.
