TED SMITH NAMED GLOBAL’S DRIVER OF THE YEAR

TORONTO, Ont. — Toronto-based Global Driver Services recently held their 25th Annual Driver Awards Night and Ted Smith, a local delivery driver, took home the top honors.

In his 10th year of service with Global, Smith boasts an outstanding 21-year, accident-free driving record. He presently operates local assignments in and around the GTA. In addition to being a conscientious worker, the company reports that Smith is dedicated to customer service and road safety.

Global Driver Services says it is not only proud to have Smith on its staff, but also to give him the title of Global Driver Services — Driver of the Year 2000.

Some of the others recognized for accident-free driving included, Alan Ball, Larry Blackburn, and Syd Heaselgrave.

In total, the company handed out more than one hundred safe driving and performance awards to the cream of its commercial vehicle drivers.
