Tolls not an option on Hwy. 101
HALIFAX, N.S. — Although a slim majority of Annapolis Valley residents support a toll to help pay for the twinning of a dangerous highway, Transportation Minister Ron Russell will not budge.
The Tory cabinet minister says his government has no plans for any kind of toll to help pay for work on Highway 101.
“Absolutely not,” says Russell. “Sometime, perhaps, many years hence with a different government, they may have a different perspective on it.”
