Trailcon Facility Swells to 3x Its Size

BRAMPTON, ON– National trailer rental, leasing, and fleet maintenance specialist Trailcon Leasing Inc. has moved from its long-time head office in Mississauga to a new, larger facility in Brampton, Ontario.

The new 28,000 sq. ft. facility, located at 15 Spar Drive, is more than three times larger than the Kenderry Gate site.

Trailcon invested $22-million to acquire the 15-acre property and to construct the building. The property includes parking for more than 400 trailers and a sheltered work bay where mechanics can work on up to 41 units. The parts area at the Brampton location is five times larger, with extra capacity for more bulk shipments – and improved pricing for customers.

Trailcon started out in 1992 with just one employee: President Alan Boughton and in 1994, moved to the Kenderry Gate building with four employees.

Today, Trailcon has a fleet of over 6,500 units servicing for-hire carriers, private fleets, and some of the largest grocery and retail chains in the country, over 60 administrative, sales, and operations staff are employed across Canada, and some 65 mechanics.

Hundreds of trailers and nearly 100 staff and technicians moved from the Kenderry location to the new facility in Brampton.

“Our new location is custom-built to maximize productivity and communication between departments,” Boughton says. “The interior design is all about our people, with spaces and furniture that look after their needs. And it’s been built with growth in mind; we’ve got spare offices and workstations we can use in the future. We’re in growth mode and that will certainly continue.”

The company boosts of top-of-the-line security features, and 24/7 on-site customer call centre staff.

Trailcon also has operations in Cornwall, Edmonton, and Calgary.
