TransForce deals for brokerage business

MONTREAL (July 16, 2002) — TransForce Inc., Canada’s second-largest for-hire trucking operaton, said it has reach an agreement to buy Groupe Transport St-Lambert and St-Lambert Transport U.S., which offer transportation brokerage services in Canada and the United States.

Groupe Transport St-Lambert and St-Lambert Transport U.S. are
headquartered in St. Nicolas, Que., and had combined revenues in excess of $10 million in their last fiscal year, according to TransForce. Martin Thibodeau will remain as president of both companies, which will continue to operate independently under their existing names as wholly-owned subsidiaries of TransForce.
