SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. — The City of Sault Ste Marie is seeking comments for a proposed truck route through the municipality.

The intended route runs from the International Bridge at the intersection of Huron and Queen Streets. It then heads along Huron from Queen Street and west along Queen Street to the Huron Central rail line; north parallel with the rail line to its intersection with Hudson Street, north along Hudson Street to Conmee Avenue; north east from Conmee Avenue at Hudson.

The Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) is asking carriers that would be impacted by this proposal to review it for potential impediments.

The OTA says it is also interested to hear from carriers who support this proposal. Members are asked to forward any comments to OTA’s Stephen Laskowski, stephen.laskowski@ontruck.org or 416-249-7401 ext. 225 by Apr. 14.
